I thought that this would be the perfect cookbook to go with my new Cuisinart pressure cooker. I am not new to the kitchen, but had never used a pressure cooker before, so I was looking for something to help me get started and convert cooking times and ingredient quantities for recipes that I had always done in a slow cooker. This was not a good choice. There is not a single recipe that appeals to me in the entire book. Most of the recipes that are there can be done just as quickly and easier with regular pots and pans. Not really worth the effort to send it back, but I strongly recommend that you do not select this cookbook.
The purpose of this book is to educate and entertain. The author or publisher does not guarantee that anyone following the techniques, suggestions, instant Pots, ideas, or strategies will become successful. Cuisinart pressure cooker is a trend in the market for a new style of cooking. Recipes leave out important specific directions. Many ingredient amounts are incomplete. After reviewing book, I did not find even one recipe to use. In my opinion, a dud. Also, I didn’t realize that I was going to be required to pay return shipping. What a rip off- pay 9.95 for book and have to pay 5.95 to return.
The cooking pot holds 16 cups and most of the recipes call for 3 servings. The recipes are full of ingredients that would be difficult to find in most of the USA. There are many typos and places that needed editing. I will try to have this returned or credit given. It is very badly done.
Still sitting on my counter. Very complicated to figure out. I would rather just use my oven.
Great book to learn all the different things that can be cooked! Especially for a beginner!
Not as specific as I'd thought it would be...lots of desserts I will never use and quite small.
