Would highly recommend this book for a fun and educational read over the 4th of July holiday!
I loved this book and learned a lot of very interesting facts. I think it would be a great thing to add books like this to Civics class in high school to add a little fun and little known facts about the holidays we celebrate.I particularly liked the info on outdoor picnics and amount of hot dogs eaten, the historical myth behind fireworks, and Uncle Sam's true profession.A very enjoyable book and I hope there is another for the next holiday!
Loved this book. I learned a lot - OK I.m not an American, but I was sure I knew more, so I learned basics on this great US day.IT is well presented, simple and to the point,Who knew so many hot dogs were eaten? A real fun and informative book that I recommend without hesitation.

This is a great little book that will amuse and educate. It will also bring the family and friends together. I was able to get only some of them right as I am a Brit and therefore not totally clued into the ins and outs of US history and related facts.One thing I will say is that the book's quiz questions are not boring, they make you think and it's a kind of trivial pursuit for the US Holiday.
