Laura Griffin writes one of my favorite romantic suspense series. Stone Cold Heart is the 13th book in the Tracers series and each story is packed with suspense, action, romance and wonderful characters. I eagerly look forward to each new book. The Tracers are a “CSI” group of investigators. I love how each book deals with a different aspect of crime solving. Sara Lockhart is a forensic anthropologist with the Delphi Crime Center and is called when human bones are found in a park. Nolan Hess is a police detective with the local police department looking for a local teenage climber who vanished a year ago. He is hoping the bones belong to her so the family can finally get closure. It turns out not to be Nolan’s missing teenager, but as more bones are found, the mystery broadens. This book was so full of action and suspense. I absolutely could not put it down. Ms. Griffin knows how to plot a mystery. I was totally engaged from beginning to end. The romance was subtle and believable as Sara and Nolan were both focused on finding a killer.I highly recommend this book. I have read every book in this series and they are excellent books. Ms. Griffin is on my pre-order list and I always look forward to receiving my kindle copy on publishing day.

Half way through and I'm loving the story however, the audible is horrible. She sounds like she has an accent and she makes Nolan sound like hes 80. I'm sad I spent 10 bucks for the audible, could have done without.

Sara Lockhart is one of the nation's top forensic anthropologists who gets called to Springville, TX when rock climbers find what are suspected to be human bones in White Falls Park. There she meets police detective Nolan Hess and together they set out to discover the identity of the victim and who killed her. The bones are indeed determined to belong to a young, twentyish female. Unfortunately more bones are discovered in the park and now the investigators have a more complicated crime to solve. Is there a serial killer in the area? Is this park the killer's body dump location? To add to the urgency of this case another young woman has disappeared. Will they be able to find her?Stone Cold Heart by Laura Griffin is the latest addition to her Tracer series. This author is a consumate genius when it comes to romantic suspense stories. In this book she has outdone herself. This is a complex story with lots of action and the storyline keeps the suspense flowing. The main characters, Sara and Nolan have complicated backgrounds and certainly are not looking for any type of relationship. The chemistry between them is not be denied and I liked how the author developed their relationship. Anyone looking for an engaging suspense story with lots of action will totally enjoy this book.

The latest installment of the Tracer series by Laura Griffin is a fast paced, incredible tale of suspence and romance that all of her loyal readers will love!Forensic anthropologist Sara Lockhart is called to investigate human remains found by hikers in a remote Texas gorge. Her investigation, aided by Detective Nolan Hess, leads to more bodies, the discovery of which points to a serial killer who is using State parks as his dumping grounds. With the help of the crack team at the Delphi Center, she identifies bodies and builds a time line that proves when the victims were killed. While Sara investigates the forensic side, Nolan does the police work. Lies and evidence are tracked down, and the combination of the forensic and police evidence narrow the suspect pool down, and Sara is almost killed by a shadowy suspect. More evidence narrows things down even more. All the while, the sexual sparks are flying and Sara and Nolan are feeling the heat!A dangerous final encounter with the killer almost costs Sara her life, Nolan arrives just in time to help her, and to bring the killer to justice.I have read every single one of Laura's books, and this one is right up there with her best. I HIGHLY recommend it, and every other book in all 4 of series.

This series just gets better and better! I found Sara's job as a forensic anthropologists completely fascinating. I loved how her mind worked and the dedication she had in helping Nolan find the man behind all the killings.Nolan's character was just as appealing. He's the town's police detective and his moral code was very high. He cared and he went above and beyond to help a local family find out what happened to their daughter. The side characters added an extra dimension. I already hop Dax and Talia get their own book in the near future.Usually, I think the suspense stands out more in this series but Nolan and Sara's growing attraction, while a slow burn, felt like a big part of the story this time.I loved everything about this book. The writing is phenomenal, the storyline was fascinating and the characters were appealing in every way. If you love romantic suspense, you can't get better than this series.

I loved Stone Cold Heart by Laura Griffin that I read and reviewed. With so many books in The Tracers Series you would think that they would be getting old but you would be so wrong. This series always has something new and exciting going on and as a fan of the series I love seeing old characters pop up in new books to add their expertise to new cases and of course there is usually a new character or two to fall in love with and that is what makes this series so special. As for this book Nolan and Sara were another great match. Sara being the bone expert from the Delphi Center and Nolan being a small town cop with baggage. They are teamed together when bones are found in the park in Nolan’s town and Sara is called to help unearth them. As the book progresses they are thrown into the path of a serial killer who is not happy that his burial ground has been found. This is another excellent book by Laura Griffin and Stone Cold Heart gets five out of five
